All of us have bills to pay, obviously. And we also have countless expenses: classes, headshots, assistants, printing…etc. And con artists know this. So they come up with get-rich-fast “jobs” that are alluring.
Generally these offers take on forms such as: packaging envelopes form home, making jewelry, investing in stocks packages, fabricating candles, assembling together some form of hand crafted what-not…and as you do you will be making thousands! Tens of thousands!! Or so they say…
Are you serious? Really? If making so much money were so easy, wouldn’t we all be doing it? After all you can be in pjs, in bed, with TV in the background, on our own schedule, and just make loads of money! Let me tell you that someone is laughing all the way to the bank with the check you sent for the starter kit.
Even if it does happen to be a legit job…are you really interested in doing it? Ideally I would always suggest you get a job (Any job) related to what you want to do. Either you gain knowledge (say, performing for children in a theme park) or valuable contacts (as an assistant or receptionist in a production company). Any job that puts you closer to the world you want to be in, always holds a clear advantage.
So beware of anyone who promises you an easy-money gig because they simply don’t exist. There is no way (legal or ethical) to make tons of money in a short period of time, with no effort, unless you win the lottery! And good luck with that!!!
