In film, you sometimes encounter actors who think they’re going to steal the scene by being big, and bombastic. Proving their value. Those actors are using their bodies and voices instead of their brain! They don’t realize in terms of voice and action, less is more…

So I admit to being an absoloute “apple” fan and evangelist without a hint of shame for two reasons: it has overwhelmingly outperformed any of my PC experience, AND it is soooooo intuitive. Thats something I enjoy when I install a new prgram and dont really want to go through all the menus and tabs to learn how it works. Mac applications have a way of simplifying any users learning curve. Plus incase you havent noticed: Macs are the computers of the artists. And thats what you are my friend. Or will be soon hopefully. A working actor/artist…

Director: D J Caruso
Cast: Shia LaBoeuf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thorton.
Plot: Jerry and Rachel are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations, using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move.
Steven Spielbergs latest movie was what I would have expected from him. The action packed film had very good special effects and for the most part believable stunts. His prodigy boy, Shia LeBeouf does a pretty good job although I have to say the part doesnt deviate much from his past roles of ‘rebel’.
I think the first 15 minutes of the movie drag on a bit too long. There is no need to give us such deep background information to set us up.…

BACHELOR: To wed, or not to wed;–that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in a man to suffer
The slings and sorrows of that blind young archer;
Or fly to arms against a host of troubles,
And at the altar end them. To woo–to wed–
No more; and by this step to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand hopes and fears
The single suffer–’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To woo–to wed;–
To wed–perchance repent!–ay, there’s the rub;
For in that wedded state, what woes may come
When we have launched upon that untried sea
Must give us pause. There’s the respect
That makes celibacy of so long life;
For who would bear the quips and jeers of friends,
The husband’s pity, and the coquette’s scorn,
The vacant hearth, the solitary cell,
The…

Pain is the basis for all humor. Its a simple fact that if nobody gets hurt, it isnt funny. This includes both physical and emotional pain. For example, when Teety hits Sylvester in the foot with a mallet, and he hops screaming, stars streaming from his foot, thats funny…

As actors, we think of ourselves as artists, but that doesn’t mean we can neglect the business side of our career. There’s always a resume to update, meetings with our agent and mangers, auditions…etc. And to make sure we are straight in the business department, we generally (unless you actually have a rented space separate as an office) a home office…
